Kane Selection is representing a well-established heavy equipment dealer seeking a Territory Manager to drive equipment rental and machine sales growth across a high-potential West Central Texas territory.

This is a field-based outside sales role for someone living within the coverage who knows heavy equipment, understands how to build contractor relationships, and is comfortable managing a broad territory with autonomy. Backed by strong inventory, market presence, and continued investment, this is a genuine growth opportunity for the right salesperson.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an assigned territory across San Angelo and the wider West Central Texas market
  • Sell new and used heavy equipment alongside rental solutions and associated dealer services
  • Drive new business with contractors, civil construction firms, industrial accounts, infrastructure customers, agriculture-related accounts, and owner-operators
  • Grow existing customer relationships while increasing overall market penetration
  • Conduct regular face-to-face customer visits, jobsite meetings, prospecting activity, and account development
  • Identify opportunities within existing fleet demand and underdeveloped accounts
  • Work closely with internal operations, service, parts, and leadership teams to maximise customer support
  • Monitor local market activity, competitor movement, and project opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline management, forecasting, and territory reporting
  • Represent the business professionally across customer meetings, networking, and industry events

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven outside sales experience within construction equipment, heavy equipment, equipment rental, industrial equipment, agricultural equipment, or related capital equipment
  • Strong understanding of contractor-led and field-based sales environments
  • A hunter mentality with the ability to open doors and win new business
  • Experience managing a geographically spread territory independently
  • Strong commercial awareness, negotiation ability, and closing skills
  • Product familiarity with brands such as CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, Volvo, JCB, Hyundai, CASE, Link-Belt, or similar
  • Strong communication and relationship-building ability
  • CRM discipline and organised pipeline management
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout the territory
