A well-established and growing manufacturer of bulk material handling systems for the aggregate, mining, and mineral processing industries is seeking a Plant Manager to take full ownership of daily shop operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, and performance across fabrication and assembly teams.

This is an on-site leadership role; a hands-on presence in the shop is expected.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all day-to-day operations, including fabrication, welding, assembly, and maintenance
- Oversee production scheduling and resource planning to ensure on-time delivery across concurrent projects
- Manage materials, inventory control, and lean practices to maximise efficiency and reduce waste
- Drive strict safety and quality compliance while identifying and implementing process improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, purchasing, and project management to maintain workflow
- Coach, develop, and lead a team of foremen, welders, fabricators, machinists, and assemblers
- Lead capital improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years’ leadership experience in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Proven success as a Plant Manager, Production Manager, or Senior Foreman
- In-depth knowledge of fabrication and welding processes, including AWS standards
- Experience with ERP systems and production planning tools
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and hands-on problem-solving skills
