We seek an experienced General Manager to lead operations at a newly constructed plant in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This role is pivotal to the success of a significant new venture, requiring a seasoned (construction or mining) professional who can build and manage plant operations while navigating challenges and driving results.

  • Recruiting and managing a high-performing plant, sales and service team.
  • Overseeing daily operations, ensuring optimal productivity and adherence to the highest quality standards.
  • Managing commercial responsibilities, including securing and processing materials to meet market demands.
  • Contributing to long-term growth by exploring opportunities to expand operations.

Key Responsibilities:

As GM, you will:

  • Build and lead a capable team, recruiting key personnel such as site managers, operators, technicians, and professionals from the sales and service industries.
  • Take full responsibility for operational performance, focusing on achieving commercial targets and efficiency goals.
  • Navigate the complexities of setting up operations from scratch, leveraging your expertise to address challenges and deliver results.
  • Report directly to senior leadership, regularly updating progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Drive the plant’s success while focusing on cost savings and efficiency, such as reducing transportation distances for processed materials.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience building and managing plant operations, preferably in the construction and mining aggregate sectors.
  • A proven ability to navigate ambiguity and take a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • A strong network and expertise in recruiting and developing operational teams.

  • A track record of success in similar roles, particularly in startup or growth environments.
